Superstar had their revenge against Hotels

Monday 3rd of June was held the first and last game in group D of the tournament Tallink Cup 2013. Superstar versus Hotels (group D) at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 11:00 local time.

Tallink Hotels team reached in last year´s tournament to semifinals, where they lost to Galaxy. And in the bronze match the Romantika won with golden goal – so honorable 4th place was the result for Hotels team. Superstar had quite good team last year, but didn't make to playoffs. Hotels and Superstar met also in group level in last year's tournament, where Hotels won the game 3:1. Surely Superstar wants a revenge for last year's embarrassment.

The game day was mega hot (+27C) and sunny, therefore it was agreed to have a drinking brakes in the middle of the both half times. On the first half both teams showed the best of them, where one goal was made after another. Very equal game and after the half time whistle the score was in tie 3:3. The second half was much quieter, at least in respect of score, but it didn't mean that there was no fight. Superstar managed to score in the beginning on the second half their winning goal, and despite the efforts, what Hotels made, no more goals was made after that. Yes beautiful, interesting, equal match.

Final score Superstar versus Hotels 4:3 (half time 3:3). And Superstar had their last year's revenge against Hotels. Job well done - superstars!

As unfortunately both other games in group D against Baltic Princess was forfeited, therefore Superstar and Hotels are both forward to the playoffs. Due to the points and aggregate of the goals in the group D the Superstar will play in the quarterfinals against Baltic Queen and Hotels will play against Star. The quarter finals will start in coming weeks, so please follow the intranet site for updated information of the schedule etc.
