Symphony forward and Isabelle out
Silja Symphony versus Isabelle - the third and last game of group A of Tallink Cup 2017. Sunday 28th of May at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm).
Symphony proudly under Swedish colors and Isabelle in red and white from Latvia. They have met in football basically every year during the Tallink Cup tournament history. Once has been better Symphony and once the game have ended in tie, but last three years in a roll Isabelle has been strong and stronger. In this year´s group A the third team Victoria has basically guaranteed her place in playoffs, as they got three points from Symphony and 1 from Isabelle. Who is the second team to continue forward to the playoffs will be clarified in this fight Symphony versus Isabelle (the double winner of the Tournament) – stakes are high.
Both teams arrived to the game with full strength and Isabelle had even quite long substitution bench, but missing one of their key players Pinka. More or less quite in the beginning of the game Symphony striker Westman kicked good shot towards opponents goal, right to the hands of the goalkeeper, but it was not enough and score 1:0 for Symphony. Good and aggressive game continued. Half time leading Symphony 1:0. Second half started with lots of action. In the first minutes Isabelle pressured and their striker Bergs managed to score the equalizer. But some minutes later very poor communication in Isabelle´s defense line, where the defender tried to pass to his goalkeeper, but unfortunately in a way, where the ball landed to their own goal. Unfortunate situation, but this is football. Strong battle continued and Symphony striker Chino after excellent passing scored beautiful goal. The end of the game Isabelle didn’t slowed down and pressured with full strength to come back to the game and their midfielder Zvirbulis managed to score excellent goal, but it was not enough as the final whistle was reality some moments later. Good and strong fight from both sides and quite an unfortunate situation in the game for Latvians.

Now is clear, that from group A the two teams who continue to playoffs are Victoria as a first and Symphony as a second. Victoria will play the quarterfinal game and a principal derby against their dear fellow Baltic Queen, who was the second in group D. Symhony will play in quarterfinals against Tallink Hotels, who was the winner from group D. The quarterfinals games will be played during the month of June.
