Hotels is a star of the quarterfinal
19th of June was held the first quarterfinal of the tournament Tallink Cup 2013. Tallink Hotels versus Star at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 11:30 local time.
The group level games are done and the tournament´s playoffs are starting with quarterfinals. The quarterfinal pairs are: Symphony vs Romantika, Hotels vs Star, Baltic Queen vs Superstar and Victoria vs Galaxy. Hotels reached in last year's tournament to the semifinals, where they lost to Galaxy. Naturally now are Hotels team targets higher and to play in the final for the gold medals. Star has shown this year much higher quality of the game and has shown that bigger is not always better. As smaller, their capability to collect the full team has been a challenge also this year.
Unfortunately to the quarterfinal game Star arrived only with 9 players, which give naturally the advantage to the Hotels team. And mainly because of this basically whole game was played on Star side of the pitch. Hotels started to press from the first moment and this basically lasted until the end. On the half time the score was 3:0 for the Hotels. And the flow of the goals to the Stars net was on the second half even bigger, where seven additional was accomplished. Also a hat trick was made by Hotels player Johannes Tarma. Despite of the pressing from Hotels team, the Star managed couple of times to make the contra attack and in the very end from the mistake of the defense, they kicked their honor goal of the game.
Final score Hotels versus Star 10:1 (half time 3:0). Tallink Hotels as a star of the quarterfinal are successfully in the semifinals! Viva la Tallink Hotels – congratulations!
