Stepanov´s hat trick and Europa closer to playoffs
Silja Europa versus Shuttle, Monday 22nd of May at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 10:00 local time. This is the second game of group B of the Tallink Cup 2017.
Europa has already one point in the table against Office team with result 2:2. Shuttle team is united team of Star and Megastar. Europa versus Shuttle is principal football derby, as both are doing their everyday work in Tallinn-Helsinki route, where Shuttle is quicker and Europa more relaxed way. Do the same characteristics reflect their action in the football field … not really. Still the history shows, where 2013 and 2014 the stars both individually won the games against their big and relaxed opponent.
The game started with lots of action right from the beginning. On the 6 minutes Europa striker was pulled down in the box and with the penalty by Stepanov, Europa takes the lead. Some minutes later Europa striker Stepanov tricks the Shuttle defense and scores. Shuttle has again some problems in their defense line, as Europa midfielder Astel is scoring their third goal. After that Shuttle managed to reorganize its game and Kuusik scores their opening goal and picture of the game was more equal. Half time score 3:1 for Europa. Second half was the equal fight continued, where Shuttle pressed as well and had OMG four sure opportunities in a roll to score, but no no luck at all. Europa didn’t just stand and their striker Stepanov did his third goal and this means hat trick for him and his team. Good game by Shuttle, but no luck this time.
