Tallink Hotels won the Bronze medal of 2017
Bronze game of the Tallink Cup 2017 - Tallink Hotels versus Victoria. Wednesday 23rd of August at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 12:00 local time.
The teams Hotels and Victoria have performed excellently this season. The winning series of both teams were stopped in semifinals, where Hotels lost to Galaxy and Victoria lost to Serenade. It mus be also mentioned, that both teams have been highly decorated throughout the years of the tournament and both have their name in the “Hall of Fame”. Victoria winner 2012, silver 2011 and 2014. Hotels winner 2014, bronze 2013 and 2016. These teams has played against each other three times where two times Hotels has won the game.
Teams arrived to the bronze game with their full force and good length of the bench of substitutions. Game started with quite blameless movement of the ball from both sides, where maybe Hotels showed more confidence and Victoria with dangerous counterattacks. Opening goals was done by Hotels midfielder Hinn on 23 minutes, with beautiful kick from 20 meters to the upper corner of the goal. Half time score 1:0 for Hotels. Second half and Hotels keeping the same picture of the game, but Victoria pressing much more. Very many opportunities to score, but no luck for Victorians. 70 minutes and midfielder Rannamaa scores excellent and confident goal. Victoria still pressing, but no result and in the very end of the game Hotels fight and score their third by Paimal head goal. Allinall very beautiful football with full of fight by both teams, where Victoria didn’t have too much luck today and Hotels played good, strong and confident game.
Final score Tallink Hotels versus Victoria 3:0 (half time 1:0). Tallink Hotels won the Bronze medals of Tallink Cup 2017. Congratulations!!! Big applause also to Victorians for the honorable fourth place!

Unfortunately the happening of Grande Finale of Tallink Cup 2017 Galaxy versus Silja Serenade is under big question mark. And most sincere apologies to all the football fans who were hoping to see it in our Staff Festival in Helsinki.
