Victoria begin victoriously

Victoria versus Silja Symphony, Monday 8th of May at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:00 local time. This is the first game of group A and an opening game of Tallink Cup 2017.

These teams has met each other in the football pitch 5 times during the tournament history, where the result has been basically all years for Victoria and only once 2013 the game ended in tie. Victoria has quite many medals from this tournament and they are also the winner of the tournament of 2012. Symphony results have been so far more modest, where they have reached to quarterfinals couple of times.

Game was played in windy and cold northern spring conditions, where even slight snow disturbed players, but the fighting spirit was high from both teams. After good movement of ball in the beginning Victoria’s striker was taken down in the Symphony box and the successful penalty followed. Symphony had its moments and some good shots towards the opponent goal, but the goalkeeper of Victoria did its job well. Half time score 1:0 for Victoria. Second half quite equal game from both sides and the wind favored this half Estonians. After a good pass to Victoria’s striker Toomas Kaldma, who scored beautiful goal and Victoria longed their lead. It must be mentioned, that in some moments on the second half the game got quite emotional tunes from both sides, but luckily no harm done and no cards followed. Despite the final score, Symphony has a good and strong team this year, so opponents be warned.

Final score Victoria versus Symphony 2:0 (half time 1:0). Victoria begin victoriously and is one step closer to playoffs.
