Victoria started victoriously - again
Thursday 15th of May was held the first game in group C of the Tallink Cup 2014. Victoria versus Star (group C) at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 11:30 local time.
Victoria is and has been surely one the most continuous and committed and strong team during the history of Tallink Cup. 2011 silver, 2012 winner, 2013 4th place. And it's no doubt, that this year they are ready to continue their stabile success. Star has struggled with lack of players in last years and 2013 they reached to quarterfinal. Star hasn't so far played against Victoria, but the history talks for Victoria. Both fly under Estonian flag, where Victoria does it slowly in Tallinn-Stockholm route and Star shows the speed in Helsinki-Tallinn line.
The game started with quite easy going and not in very good quality in respect of the nice moves and team play – from both sides and quite equally. Victoria opened the score on the second part of the first half, where they continued with 2 more. Star answered with beautiful goal by the team captain in the end of the first half. Half time score 3:1 for Victoria. Second half was much more enjoyable game, but as Star didn't had any substitutes in the bench, then it showed also in their game. Despite that they fight well and had quite many chances to score. Victoria enjoyed the game and one of the top goal scorers of Tallink Cup history Toomas Kaldma had one of his days, where he this time did hat trick plus 1 more.
Final score Victoria versus Star 5:1 (half time 3:1). Well, it's not very boring, but Victoria started victoriously – again. Respect guys!

Next game in group C will be held already on Monday 19th of May in Kalev Tallinn, where Victoria will meet Tallink Hotels. This will be surely interesting and rough battle, as they have met once and it was very equal 2013 bronze game, when Hotels won 1:0.
