After long tournament of 19 games during May to September The Great Grand Finale for gold and glory of the Tallink Cup 2014 – Tallink Hotels versus Victoria – Kalev stadium/Tallinn 2nd of September, kick-off 12:00. It is land versus sea! One strong bulldozer against the other! Both have shown and proven their quality and willpower. Huuuhaaa it will be a fight and battle of everything!

Both teams have during the tournament already shown that they have everything, what is needed to be a winner – respectable team, good skills and great fighting spirit. Victoria came first in the group C, won Silja Symphony in quarterfinal and Silja Serenade in semi-final. Hotels came second in group C (the strongest group as both finalists started from there), won Isabelle in quarterfinal and Baltic Queen in semi-final. Victoria has been the most successful team, during Tallink Cup history (2011 silver, 2012 winner, 2013 4th place). Hotels history has been much more modest (2012 4th place, 2013 bronze). Hotels and Victoria has been met twice: 2013 in bronze game Hotels won 1:0 and this year in group level game Victoria won 3:2.

The final match started from the beginning with dictation of Hotels team. Already on the 2nd minute they opened the score. Hotels moved the ball with good discipline from one side to another and forward, where they had more than many opportunities to score. Before the half time whistle Hotels managed to score 2 more goals. Half time score Hotels leading 3:0. Quite hard situation for the Victoria. The second half started more or less with the same picture as the first half. Victoria did their best, but maybe it was just not their day and it was not the actual good game from Victoria, what we have used to see – or Hotels were just so Good. Hotels continued their dictation and press in the field and scored four more goals in a roll. Still it should be mentioned that Victoria had some beautiful chances and couple of minutes before the final whistle they score their goal of honour.

The final score of the game 7:1 (3:0) for Tallink Hotels team and they are the triumphant winners of the Tallink Cup 2014 – VIVA LALALAA TALLINK HOTELS – congratulations and you are now in the Hall of Fame!
