Grande Finale 2014 will be Hotels against Victoria
Wednesday 23rd of July was held the second semifinal of the Tallink Cup 2014. Tallink Hotels versus Baltic Queen at Sportland Arena stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 13:30 local time.
Baltic Queen won the group B and was better in very interesting and tough quarterfinal against the Office team. Hotels qualified to playoffs from the group level as a second from group C and won the quarterfinal game against Isabelle team. History of the Tallink Cup shows, that the record of Hotels is slightly better, as they have been in twice in the semifinal, but lost both times, but last year won the bronze match. Queen´s last year's record has been slightly more modest, but 2011 they reached to semi-finals, where they were stopped by Victoria. Both teams has been showed this year, that they are not here for only fun, but fight, fight for the trophy. Both have been stopped several times in the semi-finals, but this year one of them has a chance to play for the gold and glory. The game will be interesting also by the fact, as Hotels and Queen hasn't played against each other so far.
Huuuhaaa, what a summer, the temperature in the game day was 30 degrees in the shadow and sun shining up high. Of course this will be hard for the players. It was decided, that there will be water brakes in between of the both halftimes. The game started quite equally, but Hotels team controlled the ball more and therefore also got quite many chances to score. Scoreboard half time with no goals to show. Second half started with the same picture. Queen did quite many good moves in the front and managed to clear all the strikes to their goal. With no goals, both teams started to be nervous. 18 minutes to play, Hotels pressure had a result and the opening goal was made. It could be mentioned, that this broke the Queen game. Of course they were tired as well, but Hotels scored in those final 15 minutes 3 more goals. Very good game from both sides, but the land gods were this time stronger, than the sea gods helping the Queens team.
Final score Tallink Hotels versus Baltic Queen 4:0 (0:0). It was a good and emotional game, but Hotels won with their power of will and skillful play and now they are so so so happy to play finally in the final for the Grand Trophy. The Grande Finale 2014 will be Hotels against Victoria. Queen will continue the tournament with the fight for the bronze medals. Happy day – well done dudes!

The exact date of the Grande Finale 2014 will be decided in the beginning of August. It will take place in Tallinn and in the very end of August. The Bronze game Baltic Queen versus Silja Serenade will take place in Kaknäs/Stockholm and the game date will be decided in the beginning of August. Faith, Fun and Fight!
