Hotels in advantage and used it in load of goals

Monday 26th of May was held the third and last game in group C of the Tallink Cup 2014. Tallink Hotels versus Star (group C) at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 11:30 local time.

This is the third and last game in group C. Both Hotels (2:3) and Star (1:5) has lost to Victoria, who is already in quarterfinals as the first from the group C. Today's game is to settle, who is the second to the playoffs from group C. Star´s players list hasn't been long in last year's tournaments and this is same also this year. Against Victoria Star played with fight and with no substitutes and today it were even harder, as they arrived to the stadium with only 7 players. Despite the fact, they were ready to play – and that's the spirit. Same problem, the lack of players, was last year, when hotels won Star with big score in quarterfinals.

As it would have been nonsense to play in normal field 11 against 7, then Hotels captain agreed to play in half stadium and 7 against 8 players and playing time 35 + 35 minutes. Hotels started right away with press, and opened the score already in 10 minutes. After that the sky was open, as 5 goals followed in a roll, where one of them was successful penalty. Half time score 6:0 for Hotels. Second half the same picture continued, as Hotels had longs bench of substitutes and Star started to get tired. Hotels midfielder Janar Aronija did double hat trick, what was followed with couple of goals from his team mates. On the 55 minutes Star earned penalty as their striker was pulled down in the box. Their forward Freddy Volnes didn't hesitate, and Star got their goal of honor. Even with the fact that in today's game Star was destroyed totally, I would like to raise the hat for Star players, who were present and despite everything were cheerfully and with good fight spirit playing the football – cheers guys.

Final score Tallink Hotels versus Star 12:1 (half time 6:0). What we could admit – Hotels had the advantage and they used it totally in mega load of goals and Hotels now happily in quarterfinals.
