Equality between Queen and Romantika will leave it open
Wednesday 21st of May was held the second game in group B of the Tallink Cup 2014. Baltic Queen versus Romantika (group B) at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:30 local time.
Compared to their Latvian opponent the history of Baltic Queen in Tallink Cup hasn't been very successful, but last year their reached to quarterfinals. Romantika has already played their first match this year with Serenade, but in tight game, they lost 1:2. The teams have met in football field several times, where 2011 won BQ and 2012 won Romantika. Let's see how it goes this year. Both needs the points, as otherwise this could be the last game this year for Romantika and for BQ the points are needed to have a good platform to play their second game in the group level against Serenade.
As it was predicted – it was a tight game and ruthless battle from both sides. It was lots of moments to score, and lots of emotions towards each other and towards referee. First goal was made by Upitis from Romantika. At the half time the score on the board 1:0 for Romantika. Second half the equality and emotions continued and even rose as referee needed to show quite many yellows to calm it down. Baltic Queen after lots of efforts had on a chance and they scored their equalizing goal. The battle continued with lots of words and emotions, but no goals more. In the very end of the game BQ earned the penalty, but but but lottery and cabuuum to the gross bar and – no luck and no goal. And the opponents needed to be satisfied or not satisfied with the tie.
Final score Baltic Queen versus Romantika 1:1 (half time 0:1). Both earned 1 point to their pocket in the group level and this will leave everything open until the last game in this group B. This will be BQ vs Serenade on Tuesday 27th May in Stockholm. This is clear, that Serenade is in quarterfinal, but who is the second one from this group, will be clarified then.
