Serenade will entertain us in ½ finals
Thursday 19th of June was held the third quarterfinal of the Tallink Cup 2014. Silja Serenade versus Superstar at Sonera stadium (Helsinki) – kick off 11:30 local time.
Superstar as a winner of last year´s tournament has shown also this year, that they are again here to claim serious results. They won the group D, despite the fact that they lost in tight game to Office team, with aggregate of the goals. Serenade hasn't been so far very successful, but this year they are first time in playoffs and ready to give tough battles. Serenade qualified as a second from group B. These teams haven't played before in Tallink Cup history and this makes it naturally interesting. Superfast can be quick and with good history, but Serenades commitment and athletic spirit with long bench, is naturally a strong opponent for them.
As the coin flip favored Serenade, then this quarterfinal take place in their home port and dudes from Superstar needed to travel. The game take place in Sonera stadium in Helsinki and this is the first time in Tallink Cup history, when the game will be played in Finland. It was excellent and very cool battlefield, both ready to crush each other and both committed to fight. The first minutes turned out to be up-tempo football from end to end and first half was very equal game, with quite many scoring possibilities both sides. On the end of the first half Superstar take the opening goal from 17 meters. Half time score 1:0 for Superstar. On the second half the equal fight continued, high quality football it was all the way through. Towards the end of the second half Serenade put up the pressure on Superstar and managed to equalize with only ten minutes left to play. This goal confused superstars and Serenade managed to score two more goals before the game had come to an end. Huuhaaa, what a game! Dear superstars, we honor you, your commitment and your strong participation, but this year your journey stops here. We greet you and see you again next year!

Serenade´s opponent in semifinal is Victoria. The semifinals shall be held before the end of July. The exact dates shall be agreed and published in coming week. Now we wait for the last quarterfinal Baltic Queen versus Tallink Office results. This QF will be played on 1st of July in Tallinn, from where Hotels team is waiting for their opponent to semi-final game.
