Queen´s cannons are loud and clear – playoffs here we come

Tuesday 27th of May was held the third and last game in group B of the Tallink Cup 2013. Baltic Queen versus Silja Serenade (group B) at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:30 local time.

Before this match, it was basically clear that Serenade will continue to playoffs as they had a clear 3 points as a base from the win over Romantika. Who would be the second to continue was open. Both Queen and Romantika have 1 point from their tie of the match. Romantika grossed their fingers, that Queen would lost to Serenade in this game or at least have a tie, when the aggregate of the goals would account. Queen and Serenade have met in 2012, when it was equal tight game with the tie 2:2 and 2011 Queen won the game. Anyway, as it is important game for Queen, then they must put the best out of them and Sere could basically take it little bit easier.

Huhaaa, as the game was basically Queen´s game. Sere had quite strong strikers, but the midfield was not enough supported. Queen opened the score already in the 10 minutes and it was followed by additional two, as the Brazilian forward from Queen did the hat trick already on the first half. Half time score 3:0 for Queen. Sere had of course its moments and fight well, which was resulted with their goal of honor in the second half, but it was basically nothing against the rain of goals from Queens cannon. Joao Da Silva from Queen did the hat trick also on the second half and his team mates added couple goals more to the score. What happened to Serenade, was it their tactics, to keep their forces to the playoffs, as their presence in quarterfinal was already clear before this game? Or Queen, in this important match, had found their game and cannons to strike and destroy the opponent and opponents to come?

Final score Baltic Queen versus Serenade 8:1 (half time 3:0). Queen had the beautiful win and their cannons are loud and clear – playoffs here we come! As mentioned above, Sere is also continuing as a second from group B to playoffs, but they must gather their forces, as it will not go easier.

Now the last group level game will be held in group D (Superstar vs Office) on 2nd of June in Tallinn. Both Serenade and Queen will get their first round playoff opponent from this group. Hard to predict, who would be the 2 teams, who continue from group D to quarterfinals, as all 3 teams have a chance.
