Victoria versus Isabelle, Tuesday 17th of May at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:00 local time. This is the first game in group C of the Tallink Cup 2016.
Isabelle finest moment during the tournament history was last year, where they were the winner on Tallink Cup 2015. With a taste in their mouth, they are ready to take all the challengers and show them the strength of Latvian flag. But the first fight will be hard as the opponent in one of the most successful team in our tournament – the victorious Victoria. Winner 2012 and all the other years played in the playoffs for the medals. The teams have met also last year in the group level game, where it ended in tie with no goals.
Both teams arrived to the game with good attitude and ready to fight. It was clear already before the game to both teams that this will be no easy game. The game began with equal fight, where both teams had quite many possibilities to score. Good and quite open game. In the end of first half Isabelle finally opened the score. Half time Isabelle leading 1:0. Second half the mega fight continued. Again, lots of moments to score – it had everything including some posts, grossbars etc. It was very good game from both sides, excellent football, and very tight. By the end of second half finally Victoria’s striker scored the equalizer. Game continued, but no more goals. The result basically reflected the game: tight and equal – good game from both teams.
Final score Victoria versus Isabelle 1:1 (half time 0:1). Great game by highly decorated girls, one more beautiful than the other! Be aware whoever will be the next.
