Isabelle forward to semifinals
Third quarterfinal of the Tallink Cup 2016, Tuesday 28th of June. Isabelle versus Office at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 11:30 local time.
Office team consists mainly the players from our organizations from Finland reached to QF from group D, where they had win against Europa and loss against Queen. Isabelle arrived to playoffs from group C as a winner of that group, where they had win against Symphony and tie game against Victoria. Both teams showed also last year very successful play, as Office them won the bronze medals and Isabelle was winner of the tournament. These teams have played once against each other and it was also in 2015 in semifinal, where Isabelle won 5:1.
This year’s game in quarterfinal was equal play starting from the beginning, where both teams’ midfielders showed good movement of the ball and during the first half there was couple of quite tight goals possibilities. Half time the score in tie with no goals 0:0. The second half started with same good equal battle from both sides. And then started to happen. By middle of second half the penalty was given to Isabelle, what was yes happily saved by the Office goalkeeper, but as it was rebuffed by him, then the Isabelle didn’t missed the chance and scored to goal. Fight and battle continued, but it seemed that Office team started to get tired and in the very last minutes Isabelle scored two additional goals in a roll. Really good game by both opponents, where the tension lasted until the end and both showed beautiful and equal game.
Final score Isabelle versus Office 3:0 (half time 0:0). Good game by Latvians and deserved win to go forward to semifinals of 2016.

Now Isabelle needs to wait for their opponent to semifinal game, what will be clarified already tomorrow in Tallinn in quarterfinal game between Victoria and Baltic Queen. The second semifinal pair is already clear Hotels versus Galaxy. Semifinals shall be held during the month of July.
