Isabelle’s conquest towards playoffs

Monday 23rd of May was held also the second game in group C of Tallink Cup 2016. Isabelle versus Silja Symphony at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:00 local time.

Symphony has not shown mentionable success so far during our tournament history, but there are some rumors, that they have had good additional forces this year to strengthen their lines. Isabelle, decorated winner of 2015, will be certainly strong opponent and they have played already their first game this year against Victoria, what ended in tie. It should be mentioned that this opposition has long and intense history. The teams have met almost every year and there has been wins for both and also one tie.

Another beautiful sunny football day. Good for players and even better for fans. Really it has been real blessing in respect of weather during this year´s group level games. Symphony needed to start the game with less players, but missing forces arrived shortly so it was fine. Isabelle quite clearly showed starting from the beginning, that they came to win this game. Symphony did fight back and managed to create some dangerous moments in the goal area of Isabelle, but it was not enough. The pressure from Isabelle and beautiful movement of the ball was the pre-play of two successful goals before the half time whistle. Second half was basically game dominated by “the red devils” from Latvia. Strong pressure, good teamwork and goals started to rain and again and again, leaving so chance for their dear colleagues from Sweden. Isabelle is beautiful and strong and dangerous.

Final score Isabelle versus Silja Symphony 10:0 (half time 2:0). Good game from this long and intense historical opposition and this time it was Isabelle´s conquest towards 2016 playoffs.

Raimonds Sastakovics (Isabelle) 20´ 1:0; 56´ 6:0; 69` 10:0
