Shuttle - too fast for Princess

Tuesday 10th of May was held the first game of in group B of Tallink Cup 2016. Shuttle versus Baltic Princess (group B) at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 14:00 local time.

Princess (former team of Europa) was a winner of our tournament in 2011, but recent years they haven’t showed themselves in the glossy podium. Shuttle is a sort of new team in our tournament and they are a joint team from Superstar and Star. Background is, that as the crew number in mentioned ships are almost twice smaller than the big ferries, then the selection of players and to collect the team, has been quite a challenge for them in last years. Therefore it was agreed to come out this year with joint team Shuttle. There have been some games between this or the other star and Princess, but the reference in this case will not lead as further to speculate this year’s opposition result.

Game started with quite quick moves from both teams and Shuttle scored beautiful head goal already on the fifth minutes. After that lots of whistles by referee against Princess and fault in the box and penalty were given for Shuttle. Princess gathered their beauty what they got and pressed but no luck. Also a penalty was given for Princess, but it was saved by the shuttle goalkeeper. After that it seemed that all the kicks made by shuttle striker Martin Adusoo had success. Besides the two already mentioned, it was followed addition three before the half time whistle. Second half Princess moved the ball and had quite good chances to score, but no luck. People who follow sports and football know that the ball is sometimes very round … and this time it was round for Princess. But Shuttle had a very beautiful day and game, they didn’t show any weak spots in their game and all the strikes where successful – well done dudes.

Final score Shuttle versus Baltic Princess 7:0 (half time 5:0). Well-played game by stars and today Shuttle was way too fast for Princess.

Goals:
Martin Adusoo (Shuttle) 5´ 1:0; 11` 2:0 (pen); 26´ 3:0; 33` 4:0; 36` 5:0

Martin Uusimaa (Shuttle) 70´ 7:0

MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the game was Martin Adusoo (Shuttle).
