Victoria versus Isabelle - no goals

Monday 11th of May was held the first game in group A of the Tallink Cup 2015, which is also an opening game of the football tournament 2015. Victoria versus Isabelle (group A) at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:00 local time.

This is a rivalry between Latvian and Estonian flag, where both teams and ships sail towards Stockholm every day on the same day. Isabelle hasn’t been so far very successful, but last year they reached to quarterfinals. Victoria´s board of honor is much more decorated throughout the tournament history of Tallink Cup: 2011 silver, 2012 winner, 2013 4th place, 2014 silver. Teams have met 3 times 2011 to 2013 and Victoria has collected all the points. But nevertheless, this a new year, where history is just a history.

The game started, lasted and ended in more or less in the same picture. Both teams where focused and kept their lines in the defense strong as possible and counterattacked towards enemies’ goal quite many times, but with no success. Big battle between equal squads. Half time in tie with no goals. Second half the show was more or less the same. Victoria managed to play couple of good combinations in very close to Isabelle´s box, but if no goals then no goals. Good game from both teams, where the picture on the field showed also the actual and final result on the board.

Final score Victoria versus Isabelle 0:0 (half time 0:0). Both teams collected 1 point and have equal chance to proceed to playoffs and it all will be about their game against Symphony.
