Isabelle two hat tricks plus one
Tuesday 16th of June was held the third quarterfinal of the Tallink Cup 2015. Isabelle versus Star at Lasnamäe stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 16:30 local time.
Star came second from group C and Isabelle as a first from group A. It was decided, with help of coin throw, that the game will take place in Tallinn. This gave a little advantage for Star, as Isabelle´s team needed to travel long way from Latvia by bus. Also two key players from Isabelle´s team where out of this game, as they had red cards from last game. But in the final end it was Star who had quite big difficulties to collect the full team, as there where some injuries and working duties for their team´s fundamental players. Isabelle and Star have never played against each other so all in all it was hard to predict anything.
Beautiful sunny-windy day and bad luck for Star, as they arrived to the game one player short. The game started quite equally, but little by little Isabelle started to press. And on 20 minutes, when Isabelle finally opened the score, the sky broke loose and goals to Stars net started to happen one by one. Half time score and Isabelle leading already with five goals. But despite of one player less, Star did their fight well, but in the final meters they just today didn’t make it. On the second half Isabelle didn’t dominated so much and Star had some quite good counter attacks. Still, all in all it was Isabelle game and on the second half Isabelle scored twice.
Final score Isabelle versus Star 7:0 (half time 5:0). Good fight and game in Tallinn and Isabelle did two hat tricks plus one. Cheers lads from Latvia, as you will play in semi-finals. Star, actually very good performance this year and see you again next season.
