Again, big is better – Queen vs Superstar

Tuesday 26th of May was held the third and last game in group C of the Tallink Cup 2015. Baltic Queen versus Superstar (group C) at Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 10:20 local time.

In this group everything is open and possible. Yes, Queen and Star have both 3 points in their pocket, but it doesn’t mean or promise nothing. If the speedy shuttle Superstar will win this game, then all teams have equal points and the aggregate of the goals will matter. Superstar and Queen (former Europa) have played once 2014 in group level, where Superstar won the game with big score. Let’s see how it will go this year, as Queen have gathered quite strong team with good bench and Superstar bench so far has been quite short.

And unfortunately Superstar arrived to the stadium with only nine players, but ready to fight and play. Due to the fewer players from Superstar the game in general was dominated by Queen. And Queen played well and organized. They opened the score already on six minutes, but Superstar showed their spirit and aggressiveness in very many occasions and equalized the score two minutes later. After that Queen scored three goals in a roll, where the last one was from penalty. Half time score 4:1 for Queen. Second half the picture was more or less the same – Queen dominated and Superstar did quite many aggressive counterattacks. All in all Superstar played very well and managed to score their second goal. Queen did, with their excellent midfielders, what they had to do and scored and scored and scored – and we saw a hat trick also.

Final score Baltic Queen versus Superstar 8:2 (half time 4:1). Queen has proven again, big is better – we again salute for you beautiful Queen and see you in quarterfinals!
