Tight game and Galaxy will go forward
Wednesday 10th of June was held the second quarterfinal of the Tallink Cup 2015. Tallink Hotels versus Galaxy at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:00 local time.
Tallink Hotels game first from group D and Galaxy as a second from group B. It should be mentioned, that in the tournament history both have played in the final. Galaxy in 2012, when they got silver medals and Hotels in 2014 when they won the tournament with all the gold and gems. They have played against each other 2 times, when 2011 won Hotels and 2012 won Galaxy. But this is history and here is a new season and new game.
Game started with careful searching from both sides. Then already on the 8th minutes, from the not very clear moves by the defense of the Hotels, Galaxy opened the score. After that Hotels gathered their forces and starter to organize the game and pressured. It brought benefit and the equalizer was scored by Hotels on 13th minutes. After that there were some good moves from both sides, but no scoring. Half time ended in tie 1:1. Second half was more the game for Hotels, lots of opportunities, but no luck and success. Therefore second half and normal time ended with score in tie 1:1. According to the rules the extra time followed in full 10+10 minutes. Galaxy managed already in the first minutes of the extra time to score beautiful strong goal from the right from the very crazy angle. After that Hotels started to press and press and lots of opportunities were missed and Galaxy defense hold it well. And here would be the old Indians wise man saying: “If you don’t score, then they will score to you”. But all in all very good game from both sides.
Final score Galaxy versus Tallink Hotels 2:1 (half time 1:1, normal time 1:1). Tight game in Stockholm, but now the stadium and all the fans should shout Galaxy, Galaxy, Galaxy …! Congrats dear fellows to continue in semi-finals! And thank you Hotels for the good tournament, C U next year.
