Victoria victoriously to semi-finals

The first 2nd stage game (the quarter-finals) of the Tournament – Victoria versus Silja Symphony in Kaknäs stadium/Stockholm - 30th of May, kick off 12:30.

Victoria had already won the 1st stage game with opponents from Latvian route (Silja Festival) with score 2:1, what surely added some self-confidence to their legs and minds. Therefore they were ready to have also a great fight on the pitch with dear colleagues from Helsinki-Stockholm route (Silja Symphony). On the other side, to much self-confidence is also dangerous – be aware Victoria! Symphony has had in the history also quite good football traditions with their team, but it has been slowed down in last years. There was before the game also some info, that Symphony was even in some difficulties to complete the team. Anyway Symphony managed to whole their team and was ready to kick some balls to Victoria's net. It should be also mentioned, that because of the play-off system of this Tournament, Symphony team didn't had to play the 1st stage game and had as a wild card an advantage strait to the quarter finals. Lets see, was this advantage just pure luck or they were also worth it.

The game itself was very equal, especially the first half, where Symphony scored one to Victoria's net. On the second half Victoria's team started to press more and more and Symphony defense line did some unfortunate mistakes - the outcome was fact that Victoria managed to score three times in a row and in final result Victoria also won the game 3:2 (half time 0:1). Despite the fact that Victoria won, it should be mentioned, that the goalkeeper of Symphony (Mikael Vestman) had a very great game and did excellent work, where saving Symphony many times - he was elected also the MVP of the match.

This is the second victory to Victoria, and they are the first team, who is victoriously through to semi-finals. Victor favored again Victoria – congratulations!
