Romantika and Galaxy are in semi-finals

Wednesday 20th of June was held the last game in the group A of the Tallink Cup 2012, which was also the last game of the group level games. Baltic Queen versus Romantika at Kaknäs stadium (Stockholm) – kick off 12:00 local time.

Queen and Romantika met also in the last year tournament in the second leg of semi-finals, when after the equal game (1:1) Queen won with penalty kicks (5:4).

As both Romantika and Queen have played in tie with Serenade - therefore in group A everything was open. All three in group A (Romantika, Serenade, Queen) have chance to go through to semi-finals. This all will be solved by the Queen and Romantika. This naturally gives nice little pressure and will for both teams.

Despite of everything, the game itself was more of show by Romantika. Queen-s defense line just failed in many occasions, where the half time ended already 3:0 for Romantika. On the second half Romantika continued with good game and scored two more. Mentionable is that the game was full of fight and emotional, as referee needed to show very many yellow cards (including one red card).

Final score Romantika vs Baltic Queen 5:0 (half time 3:0) and Romantika is happily in semi-finals. Romantika will meet there the team of Victoria (2nd place last year).

From group C the semi-finalist is Galaxy. In group C the result came from lots of hassle of the arrangement of the game between Galaxy and Europa, where in final end very unfortunate and hard decision had to be made and Galaxy got the three points by the abandonment. Galaxy will meet in semi-finals the team of Tallink Hotels. The exact dates of the semi-final games will be announced in coming days.
