Hotels is in semi-finals

Monday 4th of June was held third and last game in group D of the Tallink Cup 2012. Superstar versus Tallink Hotels in Kalev stadium (Tallinn) – kick off 17:00 local time.

Both teams have shown during this year´s tournament, that they know how to play and make goals: Hotels won Star 7:1 and Superstar won Star 9:2. In group D both Hotels and Superstar has now therefore 3 points, which means that the team who gets the place in the semi-finals from this group, will be clarified in the game between them. It should be mentioned, that Superstar will be also happy with a tie, as they have better aggregate of the goals.

The game started more actively from Hotels side, but Superstar had their moments and it was equal big battle from both sides. Superstar opened the score already on the 12 minutes and Hotels equalized on 31 minutes. Half time ended in tie 1:1. Second half had lots of emotions and battle from both sides, where both teams had to calm each other. Referee had to show couple of yellow and one red card, what was quite tuff decision. Hotels scored 2 goals, what meant basically that the game was done. Superstar had in their team quite many talented and willful players, started from their captain, both strikers and the midfielder Kuuse, but unfortunately this was not enough to break the opponent.

Final score for Hotels 3:1 (half time 1:1). And Tallink Hotels is happily in semi-finals!

Hotels will now have to wait for the results in group C, where Galaxy, Princess and Europa are playing. In the semi-final Hotels will meet the winner of group C. The first game of group C shall be held in 5th of June between Silja Europa and Baltic Princess at Kalev stadium – kick off 10:30.
