Here you will find all the information you need about payment options onboard, at our terminals, and for online bookings.

  • Payment onboard

    We accept the following international payment cards:

    • Mastercard (Maestro)
    • Visa (Visa Electron)
    • American Express
    • Chinese payment solutions: UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay

    Cash payments onboard are only accepted in Euro. Card transactions are processed at the card issuer’s exchange rate. No currency exchange services are available.

    Some bars are cashless:

    • Baltic Queen, MyStar, Megastar, Victoria I: Cash accepted everywhere.
    • Baltic Princess: Cash is accepted in the Pub and Piano Bar; all other bars are card-only. Shops accept cash.
    • Silja Serenade, Silja Symphony: Only card payments at the following venues: Starlight Bar, Seaview Bar, Promenade Bar, Disco, Sauna, Commodore Lounge.
    • Note: 1 and 2 cent coins are not accepted on Serenade, Symphony, Baltic Princess, MyStar, and Megastar.
  • Payment at terminals (Estonia, Finland, Sweden)

    Self-service machines at all terminals accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, and Maestro.

    • Estonia (D-terminal, Tallinn): Cash payments in Euros. Visa and Mastercard accepted. ATM available for Euro withdrawals.
    • Finland (West Terminals 1 & 2, Olympia Terminal, Turku, Mariehamn, Långnäs): Card payments only. Accepted cards include Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, UnionPay, JCB. No cash or currency exchange.
    • Sweden (Värtahamnen Terminal, Stockholm): Payments accepted in Swedish Krona or Euros (refunds in Euros). International cards accepted. No currency exchange.
  • Online booking

    Various payment options are available based on your location:

    • Estonian site: Internet banks (Swedbank, SEB, Nordea, Danske Bank, LHV) or Visa and Mastercard.
    • Finnish site: Internet banks (Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Nordea, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, Aktia online payment, S-Pankki, Säästöpankki, LähiTapiola), Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Eurocard, American Express, and Klarna.
    • Swedish site: Internet banks (Swedbank, Sparbankerna, Nordea, Handelsbanken, SEB, Länsförsäkringar, Skandiabanken and Sparbanken Syd), Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Klarna.
    • International sites: Card payments only.
  • Payment at Sales Offices
    • Tallinn, Estonia: Payments in Euros. Visa Electron, Mastercard, and Maestro accepted.
    • Mariehamn, Åland: Card payments only (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay, JCB). No cash or currency exchange.
