Silja Europa is the Winner of Tallink Cup 2019

28-29 May, full tournament with 12 teams and 20 games in Tallinn, our 9th football tournament of Tallink Cup 2019 is done and we have a winner – team Silja Europa!

12 teams start in the beginning,
8 to go forward to playoffs,
4 to battle for medals,
1 TEAM TO RULE THEM ALL IN THE HALL OF FAME!

12 teams, 20 games, 46 goals, hundreds of players from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, over 7000 fans, over a million emotions! Faith & Fun & Fight & Football is way better than … carrots!! First day, the group level games were held – 4 groups divided by lottery between 12 teams, where every team got 2 games and 2 best teams from every group continued to playoffs. Second day the playoffs, starting with quarter finals, semifinals and followed by Bronze game and the Grande Finale. We had all the elements: fun, sun, goals, luck and unluck, fight, skilful performances, penalties, faith, passionate feelings, lots of running there and back again etc. Throughout the tournament full of emotions in all directions – than why we do it and love it! Silja Europa is the celebrated winner of the Tallink Cup 2019 – Lalalaaaaaaa SILJA EUROPA – congratulations and you are now proudly in the Hall of Fame! Baltic Princess got respectably the silver medals! Bronze medals went to Isabelle team. Big and mega cheers to you all!

During the award ceremony, where winning teams where decorated with gold and gems etc, were announced and awarded also:
- The Best Goal Scorer of Tallink Cup 2019 – Gero Mekk (Europa)
- Most Valuable Player of Tallink Cup 2019 – Urmet Stepanov (Europa)
- Best Goalkeeper of Tallink Cup 2019 – Vahur Õunapuu (Europa)

Hereby we want to greet and thank all the enthusiastic football players, who participated. Really, because of you this all happens and continues – dear footballers, we solute you and hundred cheers for you all!!! Again this year we need to give BIG applause for all the team captains, as their role is vital for all the arrangements for their team and games. Special bow and huge thanks goes to all fans, sponsors and helping hands. Thanks to you all we had again a really great football tournament Tallink Cup 2019.
