Equal access for everyone

We want all passengers, including people with disabilities or limited mobility, to feel welcome and comfortable when traveling with us.

Safety and alternative travel options

Your safety is our priority. In rare situations where boarding is not possible due to safety or infrastructure limitations, we will offer an alternative travel option or compensation when applicable.

No discrimination

We are committed to providing equal treatment and a respectful travel experience for every passenger.

Assistance during your journey

Passengers who need additional support can request assistance with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling.

We continuously work to make our terminals and ships easier to access and navigate for all passengers.

Personal assistants travel free

Passengers with disabilities or limited mobility may bring one personal assistant free of charge on Tallink Silja Line ships.

Accessible cabins

Our accessible cabins are designed to provide comfort, convenience, and easier movement throughout your stay. Cabins feature wider doorways, accessible bed heights, and thoughtfully adapted layouts.

Bathrooms are equipped with supportive features such as grab rails, accessible toilets, and showers with seating to improve safety and usability. For additional peace of mind, cabins also include an SOS button that can be used to quickly contact crew members if assistance is needed.

Please note that cabin features and measurements may vary slightly depending on the ship.

Assistance ready to help at the harbor

Assistance service

If you need help boarding or leaving the ship, please contact our contact center at least 48 hours before your trip to arrange assistance.

The service is available for passengers with reduced mobility or other support needs. Luggage assistance is included for up to two pieces of luggage with a combined weight of up to 35 kg.

Please note that this is not a general baggage transport service. Additional luggage must be handled with the help of a travel companion or personal assistant.

Personal assistants travel free

If you have reduced mobility or need additional support, you can bring one personal assistant free of charge. Please note that age requirements for the selected route still apply.

Helsinki–Tallinn routes

  • Your personal assistant travels free in the same travel class as you, including Star Class, Comfort Lounge, and Business Lounge.

Other routes

Your personal assistant can travel free:

  • in the same cabin with you, regardless of cabin class
  • or in a separate A-class or lower-class cabin

No fuel or emission surcharges apply to your assistant’s journey. If a higher cabin class is selected, the price difference must be paid.

You can book your own trip online or in the app. To add a personal assistant to your booking, please contact customer service by phone or chat.
