Frequently asked questions

  • Are towels and bed linen provided in the cabins?

Yes, all cabins come with towels and bed linen – no need to bring your own.

  • Can I choose the cabin before the trip?

No, unfortunately, it's not possible to choose the cabin location. Cabin assignments are made automatically based on availability and cabin type.

  • Are tours to the ship’s bridge organized?

No, for safety and security reasons, visits to the captain’s bridge are not available.

  • Is there currency exchange available onboard?

No, there are no currency exchange services on board the ship. Please prepare your currency in advance.

  • Can I order a baby bed or safety rails for my child in the cabin?

Yes! You can request a baby bed, potty, and bed rail free of charge. Availability depends on the cabin type and size, so check the details of your selected cabin. We recommend booking these extras along with your ticket or by contacting our Customer Service. Onboard, you can ask at the Information desk – but do let us know in advance, at least 24 hours before your trip, as supply is limited.

  • Is the cabin available for the entire duration of the cruise?

Yes – your cabin remains yours for the entire cruise, from departure to return. You can use it even while the ship is docked in the destination port.

Please note: on the final morning, when the ship arrives back at the original departure port, you must vacate the cabin immediately upon arrival.

  • Is WiFi available in the cabins?

WiFi is available in Deluxe and Suite cabins. It’s also accessible in the ship’s public areas. Read more about the WiFi service at onboard internet connection page.

  • How wide are the cabin corridors?

    Megastar: ~103 cm

    Victoria I: ~115 cm

    Baltic Queen:

    • Deck 5 midship corridor: ~135 cm
    • Deck 8 corridor: ~120 cm

Silja Serenade & Silja Symphony: Vary between 90–110 cm

    Baltic Princess:

    • Standard corridors: ~90 cm

Please note that corridor widths are not uniform across all decks and cabins; these figures represent the narrowest measured areas.

  • Is smoking allowed onboard?

Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas. It is strictly prohibited to smoke on closed cabin balconies. The same rules apply to electronic cigarettes.

  • Are there power sockets in the cabins?

Yes, all cabins are equipped with power sockets. However, the location of the sockets—especially near sleeping areas—varies by ship and cabin type:

    • Baltic Queen: Available in Suite and Executive cabins. Other cabin types can request an extension cord free of charge from the Information desk.
    • Silja Serenade: Most cabins have sockets positioned between the beds. If not, extension cords can be borrowed (with a deposit of €20).
    • Silja Symphony: Sockets typically between beds; extension cords can be borrowed free of charge.
    • Baltic Princess: Sockets are not located near sleeping areas in most cabins. Extension cords can be borrowed with a €20 deposit.
    • Victoria I: Sockets are located away from beds. Extension cords are available free of charge.
    • MyStar: Available in Suites and A-Standard Sea view cabins for 2 passengers. A-Standard Sea view 4-person cabins have USB ports at upper berths and standard sockets at lower ones.
    • Megastar: Conveniently placed sockets in all cabin types.

If access to a socket near your bed is important (e.g., for charging or medical devices), we recommend requesting an extension cord early from the Information desk, as availability is limited.

  • What is the voltage in the cabin sockets?

The voltage in all cabin sockets is 230 V, which is the standard in Finland, Sweden, and Estonia. If you're travelling from a country with a different voltage or plug type, don’t forget to bring an adapter.
