City center (Norrmalm)
Known simply as “City” by locals, Norrmalm is the heart of Stockholm. It’s the go-to area for shopping, dining, nightlife, and cultural experiences. Djurgården

Vasastan may not be Stockholm’s most famous neighborhood, but that’s part of its charm. Stop by a cozy café, catch a show at a local theater, visit a museum, or take a walk to the iconic Stockholm Public Library. On a nice day, head to Vasaparken, where locals gather for picnics in the summer and ice skating in the winter.

Getting around Stockholm
Getting around Stockholm is easy thanks to its extensive public transportation network. Travel by metro, tram, bus, ferry, or commuter train to reach almost any part of the city and surrounding areas. Stockholm Public Transport (SL) operates most services, and tickets are valid across the network. Please note that cash payments are not accepted on Stockholm’s buses.
With the Tallink Silja Line bus, you can travel directly from Värtahamnen harbor to downtown Stockholm and back.
