In the fourth quarter of the 2008/2009 financial year (June-August) AS Tallink Grupp transported 2 701 575 passengers which is 14,3% increase compared to the previous year. The number of trucks and trailers decreased by 21,9% to 58 634 units in the fourth quarter.
In August 2009 AS Tallink Grupp transported 851 919 passengers which is 9% increase compared to August 2008. Passenger volumes and market shares increased in all of our main routes.

The following operational factors influenced the development.
ESTONIA-FINLAND
From September 2008 the Superfast vessels stopped crusising daily Tallinn-Helsinki roundtrip.
ESTONIA-SWEDEN
New cruise ferry Baltic Queen started operations in 24 April 2009 and replaced smaller M/S Romantika which moved to Riga-Stockholm route.
LATVIA-SWEDEN
In May 2009 cruise ferry Romantika replaced smaller M/S Regina Baltica.
FINLAND-GERMANY
The operations in the route are continued with the two vessels instead of three as Superfast IX has stopped from September 2008 and is employed in the long-term charter.
