A subsidiary of AS Tallink Grupp, Baltic SF IX Limited has delivered M/S Superfast IX to a long-term bareboat charter to Marine Atlantic Inc, a Canadian company with the state participation therein. The vessel was delivered on Friday, November 14, 2008 after the completion of several technical preparations.
Marine Atlantic Inc. plans to operate the vessel in the Canadian waters under the name of M/S Atlantic Vision.
This charter is part of the Germany route restructuring. It helps to increase the profitability of the route and three Superfast vessels. Since September 2008 we are continuing the operations with two vessels on the Germany-Finland route on a changed timetable.
