About possible changes in the fleet

AS Tallink Grupp will decide about potential changes in the fleet, including high speed crafts AutoExpress and cruise ferry Meloodia, in 2007.

The news derived from the yesterday’s press conference of the new high speed vessel Star about the possible sale of high speed crafts AutoExpress and cruise ferry Meloodia were premature. Sale of vessels is one of the options.

Several new high speed vessels will be delivered to Tallinn-Helsinki route in the near future. New vessels have the speed of fast ferries and the comfort of cruise ferries. Based on today’s market situation it will not be feasible to keep capacity of seven vessels operating between Tallinn-Helsinki.

Which changes will be made and which specific vessels are included is currently open. Three different versions will be considered to achieve the best balance among routes and ships.

Vessels can be re-routed to other routes, chartered out or sold if the terms will be satisfactory. Today no vessel sale activity is going on. Should this happen a further notice will be made.
