AS Tallink Grupp’s Finnish and Swedish organizations will be integrated
AS Tallink Grupp Finnish subsidiaries Silja Oy Ab and Tallink Finland Oy will be integrated into one organization. The new organization will be simplified and use all possible current positive synergies. During the integration process all shore activities will be reviewed including management, financial, IT, sales and marketing and procurement. The same review will be carried out in Sweden where there are currently two separate organizations.
By combining the best practices of two of the Baltic Sea’s leading brands Tallink and Silja Line, AS Tallink Grupp will further strengthen its competitive position in the region. Passengers will now be able to choose from a wider selection of routes and destinations in the Baltic Sea. Tallink and Silja’s sales and reservation systems will be united making it easier for passengers to book a variety of unique products and services.
The integration process requires cooperation with the representatives of the staff of the subsidiary companies. The companies’ onshore organization in Finland employs approximately 700 full time people. During the integration process 180 full time positions are expected to be rationalized in Finland. In Sweden there are approximately 270 full time onshore positions of which 80 are expected to be rationalized.
