Comments to the articles. Riga – Stockholm ferry line.

AS Tallink Grupp comments to the articles in Latvian media during the last weekend:

On Friday, December 16, 2005 the management of AS Tallink Grupp met the Freeport of Riga and Riga Passenger Terminal representatives along with the Latvian Minister of Transportation to continue the negotiations about the opening of Riga – Stockholm ferry line. The parties reached an agreement in principle about the terms of operating the Riga – Stockholm route by Tallink. Assuming the quick and final agreement will be concluded then Tallink will start the above mentioned route in spring 2006 with M/S Fantaasia according to today’s plans.
In May 2006 Riga will host the world ice hockey championchips and depending on the success of the ferry line, Tallink is ready to add a second vessel into the service, most likely M/S Regina Baltica.
