AS Tallink Grupp's subsidiary company Silja Cruise AB has today completed the profitable sale of roro passenger ferry M/V Sky Wind which operated between Turku and Stockholm.
The vessel was sold to Bahamain company Scania Line Ltd. at the price of EEK 481 million (EUR 30.8 million).
In connection with the sale of M/V Sky Wind AS Tallink Grupp subsidiary company Tallink Silja Oy has prepaid to the bank syndicate EUR 15.5 million (EEK 243 million), portion of the loan which was taken in 2006.
The sale of M/V Sky Wind is part of the renewal process of Turku - Stockholm route which also includes the plan to re-route our biggest cruise ferry Galaxy to Turku-Stockholm route in spring 2008 in order to replace M/V Silja Festival.
