In the second quarter of the 2010/2011 financial year (December-February) AS Tallink Grupp transported 1 999 313 passengers, which is more than a 23 percent increase compared to the previous year.
During second quarter Tallink transported 146 383 passengers (+45%) on Latvia-Sweden route, 228 957 (+45%) on Estonia-Sweden route and 709 448 (+13%) on Finland-Sweden route. On the route between Finland and Estonia, Tallink transported 911 518 passengers during past three months, the number of passengers increased by 24 percent. On Finland-Germany route the number of passengers decreased by 24 percent due to no traffic on this route during January and February.
During the second quarter the number of passenger vehicles increased by almost 20 percent to 207 042 and the number of trucks and trailers increased by nearly 19 percent to 64 407 units in same comparison.
In February 2011 AS Tallink Grupp transported 650 072 passengers which is almost an 18% increase compared to February 2010. The number of transported passenger vehicles increased by 19 percent to 62 325 and of cargo units by 13 percent to 21 193 in last month.
