A rerouting of cruise ferries on Finland-Sweden and Estonia-Sweden routes will take place in the beginning of November in order to provide Tallink Silja passengers with comfortable travelling possibilities also during the planned docking of the cruise ferry Silja Serenade.
Silja Serenade sailing on Helsinki-Stockholm route will be replaced by Silja Europa usually sailing on Turku-Stockholm route during Serenade’s planned docking from 31st of October until 12th of November. Silja Europa will be replaced by the company’s newest cruise ferry Baltic Queen on the Turku-Stockholm route. Baltic Queen is usually sailing on the route between Tallinn and Stockholm.
Silja Serenade is making her last trip before docking on 30th of October from Helsinki and will return to the route on 12th of November departing from Stockholm according to the regular time schedule.
Baltic Queen will make her last trip before the rerouting from Tallinn to Stockholm on 30th of October at 15.00 and arrives in Stockholm at 6.00 the next morning. On 31st of October Baltic Queen will make her first trip to from Stockholm to Turku at 7.10 in the morning according to the usual schedule of Turku-Stockholm route. Her last trip on this route will take place on 11th of November from Turku and she will return to her usual route on 12th of November departing from Stockholm at 17.45.
Silja Europa, which will replace Silja Serenade on Helsinki-Stockholm route, will depart from Stockholm to Helsinki at 17.00 on 31st of October. Her last trip on this route will take place on 11th of November at 15.00 from Helsinki, arriving in Stockholm the next morning at 6.00. At 7.10 the same day Silja Europa will already make the usual departure from Stockholm to Turku according to the traditional schedule.
Silja Serenade is going to the Naantali shipyard for planned docking, where necessary maintenance works are carried out.
Baltic Queen is the newest cruise ferry of Tallink`s fleet, delivered in 2009. The ship has the capacity for 2800 passengers and 1130 lane meters of cars and cargo units. Silja Europa has the largest capacity of the fleet, accommodating 3123 passengers and 932 lane meters of cars and cargo. Silja Serenade takes on board up to 2852 passengers and 950 lane meters of cars and cargo.
Baltic Queen replaced Silja Europa also during the docking works of Silja Europa in December 2009.
