Tallink Group is the most competitive Estonian company in 2010

On September 7th at the entrepreneurship awards ceremony Tallink Grupp was named the winner of Estonian Companies Competitive Chart 2010 by Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Estonian Employers’ Confederation. Tallink has won the award also in 2007 and 2008.

The aim of the competitive chart is to provide companies with an adequate possibility to compare and evaluate the success, efficiency and sustainability of Estonian companies. The chart is assembled both as a general chart and by field of operation. In 2010, 342 Estonian companies participated, out of which 325 qualified for the final chart. Participation was voluntary.

The aim of the Entrepreneurship Award is to provide state acknowledgement to successful Estonian companies and raising entrepreneurship awareness.

In 2009 Tallink won the award of the Most Competitive Estonian Transportation and Logistics Company.

AS Tallink Grupp is one of the leading shipping companies in the Baltic Sea region. The Estonian company employs around/circa/approximately 6800 employees and operates on seven different shipping routes between Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Germany. The fleet of the company consists of 19 vessels. The vessels are operating under the brands of Tallink and Silja Line. In financial year 2009/2010 Tallink transported altogether 8, 4 million passengers. Tallink also operates the hotel network Tallink Hotels, with four hotels in Tallinn and one in Riga.
