AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 820 485 passengers in June, this is 3 percent more than last year. It is the highest passenger number for June in the company’s history. The number of transported cargo units increased by 16 percent, and the number of passenger vehicles by 11 percent.
In June Tallink transported 358 442 passengers (+15%) on Estonia-Finland route, 305 462 (-0,1%) on Finland-Sweden route and
69 148 (-5%) on Latvia-Sweden route. On the route between Estonia and Sweden, Tallink transported 79 899 passengers (-15%) and on the Finland-Germany route 7 534 passengers (-36%).
Additionally to number of passengers, also the number of transported vehicles and cargo units increased in the last month. Tallink transported 105 982 passenger vehicles (+11%), the number of cargo units increased by 16 percent to 23 465 in June. To service the increase demand of the cargo transportation on Finland-Sweden route, an additional cargo ship, Regal Star was directed to Turku-Stockholm route in June for the summer period.
