Tallink Silja increases the cargo capacity on Turku-Stockholm route

Tallink Silja will increase the cargo transportation capacity for the summer on the Turu-Stockholm shipping route due to increased demand. The cargo vessel Regal Star that until now operated on the Paldiski-Kappelskär route will be directed as an additional vessel to the Turku-Stockholm route.

Regal Star will be replaced by the cargo vessel Kapella on her regular route Paldiski-Kapellskär.

Regal Star starts operating on the Turku-Stockholm route on 16th of June with the departure from Stockholm. Tallink Silja also operates another cargo ship SeaWind on the same route. It is planned to increase the cargo capacity of the route for the summer season.

The schedules of Turku-Stockholm and Paldiski-Kapellskär cargo routes are available on the company’s website.

The cargo vessel Regal Star was built in 1999 and renovated in 2004. The vessel is 156.6 meters long, 23.8 meters wide and accommodates up to 2087 lane meters of cargo units or vehicles.
