Reader’s Digest recognized Silja Line as the most reliable cruise brand in Finland

The subsidiary of AS Tallink Grupp in Finland, Tallink Silja Oy achieved great success by winning a marketing competition with “Silja Line goes Social Media” -campaign and Silja Line being awarded Finland’s Most Trusted Cruise Brand.

Tallink Silja’s social media launch with Silja Lines Facebook site and campaigns achieved the Diamond Award, first place in the Finnish Kontakti –relationship marketing competition.

Silja Lines Facebook launch and the Facebook campaigns during 2009 were superior by the results. The jury appreciated the effective way of using a new media.

The Kontakti competition is a Finnish relationship marketing competition that evaluates mainly how the advertiser reaches the customer, the contact.

The winner of the Kontakti-competition is directly entered to the Semi-final round in USA DMA’s competition Echoo.

Reader’s Digest, which is published in Finland under the name Valitut Palat, was based on a poll that was carried out amongst Finnish consumers. Silja Line was elected the most reliable cruise brand in Finland also in 2008 and 2009.

Silja Line`s brand is owned by the leading passenger shipping company on the Baltic Sea, AS Tallink Grupp since 2006. The company is operating 4 cruise ferries on the routes Helsinki-Stockholm and Turku-Stockholm under the brand of Silja Line.
