Silja Europa returns to Turku-Stockholm route on Saturday

M/S Silja Europa is on her way from the shipyard to the home harbour Turku, the cruise ferry makes her first departure to Stockholm on Saturday evening.

The repair and maintenance works of Silja Europa were finished by 17th of December and are approved by Classification Society. The ship left the Gdansk shipyard and arrives in Turku tomorrow at noon.

Silja Europa returns to her usual traffic on Turku-Stockholm route with everyday departures from Turku at 20:15 and from Stockholm at 7:10.

Silja Europa`s undergone repair works due to a technical failure caused by the broken starboard rudderstock, which was replaced during the repair works. How the rudderstock got broken is still unclear. The reason will be further investigated.

During the repair works period Silja Europa was replaced on Turku-Stockholm route by the company’s newest cruise ferry Baltic Queen. Baltic Queen makes her last departure from Turku today, on 18th of December and will head to Tallinn in the evening of 19th of December. Baltic Queen will return to her traditional route Tallinn-Stockholm on 20th of December with the first departure from Tallinn at 18:00.
