AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 1 829 367 passengers in third quarter of current financial year (March-May), which is 12,4 percent more than last year. The passenger number in May increased by 11 percent to 657 335 passengers.
Growth of passenger numbers as well as passenger vehicles was seen on all company’s major routes. During third quarter Tallink transported 115 879 (+44%) passengers on Latvia-Sweden route, 195 599 (+2,5%) passengers on Estonia-Sweden route, 824 759 (+14%) passengers on Finland-Estonia route and 672 573 (+11%) on Finland-Sweden route.
On the route Germany-Finland Tallink transported 20 557 passengers (-29 %) in third quarter. The results of the Germany-Finland route were influenced by the change, according to which starting from last September two vessels continue on the route instead of three.
Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles increased in the third quarter. Tallink transported 191 387 passenger vehicles (+30 %), but the number of cargo units decreased by 29 percent to 60 477.
In May Tallink transported altogether 657 335 (+11%) passengers, 71 195 passenger vehicles (+34%) and 20 250 (-27%) cargo units.
The financial year of AS Tallink Grupp starts on 1st of September and ends on 31st of August.
