New hotel to Tallink Hotels hotel chain to be opened next year in Riga was set the cornerstone today, on 14th of May. For Tallink Hotels it will be the first hotel in Latvia.
Tallink Hotel Riga will be a four star level hotel in center of Riga with the address Elizabete 24. There will be 256 modern rooms in the hotel, from which 21 are single rooms, 232 double and twin rooms and 3 suites. The hotel will have a high quality restaurant and café for 160 persons, a conference centre for 200 persons, beauty salon, sauna and gym.
The building of seven floors will have a parking lot in the basement for 28 vehicles.
According to the plans, Tallink Hotel Riga will be launched in spring 2010.
Tallink Hotels is operated by OÜ TLG Hotel, which is a subsidiary of the shipping company AS Tallink Grupp also operating the shipping route Riga-Stockholm. By the number of rooms – 1020 - Tallink Hotels is the largest hotel chain in Estonia at the moment, operating 4 hotels in Tallinn. More than 300 000 guests stayed at Tallink Hotels during 2008.
