AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 1 807 414 passengers in second quarter of current financial year (December-February), which is 15 percent more than last year. The passenger number in February stayd on the same level as last year.
Large growth of passenger numbers as well as passenger vehicles was seen on all company’s major routes. During second quarter Tallink transported 83 992 (+43%) passengers on Latvia-Sweden route, 212 341 (+23%) passengers on Estonia-Sweden route, 750 743 (+14%) passengers on Finland-Estonia route and 743 726 (+14%) on Finland-Sweden route.
On the route Germany-Finland Tallink transported 16 612 passengers (-33 %) in second quarter. The results of the Germany-Finland route were influenced by the change, according to which starting from last September two vessels continue on the route instead of three.
Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles increased in the second quarter. Tallink transported 163 572 passenger vehicles (+28 %), the number of cargo units decreased by 29 percent to 56 602.
In February Tallink transported altogether 601 218 (-0,8%) passengers, 49 954 passenger vehicles (+30%) ja 19 061 (-31%) cargo units.
The financial year of AS Tallink Grupp starts on 1st of September and ends on 31st of August.
