Tallink transported over half million passengers in March

AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 550 358 passengers in January, this is 2 percent more than last year. The number of transported vehicles increased by 8 percent.

The largest growth was seen on Latvia-Sweden, Finland-Sweden and Finland-Estonia routes. In March Tallink transported 27 864 passengers (+10%) on Latvia-Sweden route, 216 949 (+6%) on Finland-Sweden route and 242 366 (+3%) on Finland-Estonia route.

On the route between Estonia and Sweden, Tallink transported 57 355 passengers (-12%) and on the Finland-Germany route 5 824 passengers (-37%).The results of the Germany-Finland route were influenced by the change, according to which starting from September two vessels continue on the route instead of three.

Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles increased in the last month. Tallink transported 55 008 passenger vehicles (+8 %), the number of cargo units decreased by 25 percent to 20 738 in March.
