AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 579 141 passengers in January, this is 34 percent more than last year. The passenger number as well as market share increased on company’s all major routes.
The largest growth was seen on Latvia-Sweden, Estonia-Sweden and Finland-Sweden routes. In January Tallink transported 29 195 passengers (+70%) on Latvia-Sweden route, 75 461 (+65%) on Estonia-Sweden route and 229 167 (+31%) on Finland-Sweden route.
On the route between Finland and Estonia, Tallink transported 238 598 passengers in January, the number of passengers increased by 29 percent.
On the route Germany-Finland Tallink transported 6 720 passengers (-24 %) in January. The results of the Germany-Finland route were influenced by the change, according to which starting from September two vessels continue on the route instead of three.
Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles increased in the last month. Tallink transported 54 160 passenger vehicles (+26 %), the number of cargo units decreased by 27 percent to19 871 in January.
