AS Tallink Grupp, Press-Release 28.03.2007
M/S Star starts on Tallinn-Helsinki route on 12th of April
AS Tallink Grupp announced today, that due to construction delays of the company’s new vessel M/S Star being built by Aker Yards Helsinki, M/S Star will start operating on the Helsinki-Tallinn route from 12th of April, a week later than originally planned.
To cover passenger demand on the Helsinki-Tallinn route before M/S Star arrives, Tallink will reroute M/S Superfast VIII onto the Helsinki-Tallinn route in addition to M/S Galaxy and M/S Vana-Tallinn.
The temporary schedule for the period from the 5th -12th of April for Tallinn-Helsinki route is now being confirmed by the ports and will be published on the company’s web site www.tallink.ee as soon as the new schedule is approved. With the addition of Superfast VIII, some of the departure times of other vessels may change slightly. M/S Galaxy will continue its regular schedule, whereby the schedules of M/S Vana Tallinn and M/S Superfast VIII will replace M/S Star planned departures as closely as possible.
