Reader’s Digest recognized Silja Line as the most reliable cruise operator

Worlds leading consumer magazine Reader’s Digest acknowledged Tallink’s Silja Line routes to be the most reliable Finnish cruise lines.

Reader’s Digest, which is published in Finland under the name Valitut Palat, was based on a poll that was carried out amongst Finnish consumers. Given polling was held for the eighth time. Reader’s Digest is one of the largest consumer polls that incorporates 16 countries and 24 000 participants. There were questioned up to 1400 people in Finland who had to name most reliable brands in 37 different product groups. In its category Silja Line was referred to by more than 50 per cent of the answerers.   

The recognition will enable Tallink to insert Reader’s Digest worldwide Trusted Brand logo (attached above) into Silja Line’s marketing materials for the year 2008.

American origin Reader’s Digest magazine has currently the highest number of circulation in Europe (which is approximately 4 million copies).

Silja Line brand belongs to AS Tallink Grupp that is one of the leading ship companies in Europe. The company owns 18 ships and operates on seven different routes between Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Germany. Tallink Grupp employs up to 6500 people in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Germany and Russia. In financial year of 2006/2007 the company serviced approximately seven million passengers.
