According to AS Tallink Grupp the christening and launching ceremony of the new cruise ferry been built in Aker Yards shipyards will take place on 6th of March 2008 in Helsinki.
According to the plans, the vessel will start operating on Tallinn (Estonia)-Helsinki (Finland) route in summer 2008 replacing the cruise ferry Galaxy. M/S Galaxy will be rerouted to Turku (Finland)-Stockholm (Sweden) route.
Cruise4 can service up to 2800 passengers and 1130 lane meters of vehicles. The ship has the ice class of 1A Super and is 212, 1 meters long and 29 meters wide. The speed of the vessel is 24, 5 knots. The cruise ferry has 12 decks and 927 cabins.
There will be 4 restaurants, 8 bars, a large conference centre and a shopping area of 1200 square meters containing different shops and boutiques.
The price of Cruise4 is approximately 165 million euros.
